Peachtree 2011

Keeping with tradition Chris and I did the Peachtree Road Race to start off our 4th of July. This year our goal was to run! And while we couldn't run the whole thing (we had to walk up cardiac hill and slow to a walk when we grabbed some water). We ran the rest of it:) Doug, Lauren, Britt and Eric came to watch us. And since James and Megan had an earlier start time than us we all met up after to go grab some brunch! Happy 4th of July! WOOOOO!

Finally Prom

Well I never made it to a prom in High School.. so when my friends decided to go to an Adult Prom I couldn't pass it up. Finally a chance to wear a prom dress. I was so excited to wear my little pink dress and my sparkly shoes.

We met at Carolyn's house where my friend Jon came and picked us all up in a limo. He even got me a corsage since it was my first prom:) We then went and ate some Hibachi before heading to an Under the Sea themed Prom. BYOB.

We took tons of pictures and laughed, danced a little, and just had a nice time. Here are a few pictures from the evening.

I love love love trying on Prom dresses. I seriously came pretty close to buying this damn Prom dress. But where on earth would I wear it. It kinda has a 80's little mermaid feel to it.

I went to the mall to find my birthday dress and came up empty handed. I guess I'll venture out to the mall another day this week. Is this too fancy for a birthday??

11 days

In 11 days I turn 27. This year I feel kind of crappy about it. I feel like I haven't done enough, or done any of the things I should have done by now. So... Since I am a list maker and a goal setter and a type A personality, and after much research I came up with a few things I should do...just because. Just because it might be fun. It kinda has a bucket list feel to it. But alas.. here is what I came up with.

• Get my book published
• see a meteor shower
• Go to NYC.. stand at the top of the empire state building
• See Cinderella's Castle at Disney World
• Learn how to Salsa dance
• Take a pottery class ( you all know i'm dying to rein-act a certain scene from GHOST). LOL
• Meet Sidney Crosby
• Become awesome at Figure Skating
• Be and extra in a movie
• Go snorkeling in Bali
• Find a rich benefactor to help make all this happen :)
  

So those are a few things to get me started. Hopefully 27 will be a great year.

Warriors!

Warrior Dash! WOOO! You may remember about a month ago I posted how I was going to do the Warrior Dash. Well today Eric, Chris and I drove to North Georgia to partake in the experience. It was sooooo much fun! Seriously one of the best things I have done all year. Basically it is a 3.5 mile course with various obstacles. Swimming through muddy water, scaling a 20 foot wall, Jumping over 4 foot walls, sliding under barbed wire, jumping over firepits, muddy tires, wrecked cars, scaling 15 foot cargo nets, and sliding down a gigantic slip-n-slide. It was wonderful! And at the end you get 3 beers, a hat, a medal and a victory t-shirt. What more could a girl ask for.

Toe Pick

You may not realize this.. but once upon a time I was a great figure skater. Until one day I was struck in the knee by another figure skater who was jealous of the talent I possessed. But that's another story for another time. ;) So today Scott and I went to the Ice Forum to skate a little. I expected my skate to go a little something like this...



Clearly I'm not as good as I used to be. Perhaps I need to watch "The Cutting Edge" a few more times. I hate being shown up by all these little kids that are triple axel-ing around me. Not cool!

Anyway.. my brother and I still had a good time. I swear I'm gonna be awesome at this if it's the last thing I do. Call it my competitive nature.. but .. I guarantee by Christmas I will be awesome at this! Plus I'm dying to wear the cute little leotard outfit;)

Jonquil Festival

Spring is here! To celebrate me and Laura went down to Smyrna Village for the Annual Spring Jonquil Festival. This one was a million times better than the Dogwood Festival. And Yes, I did get my corndog and blue snowcone.

We walked around in the sunshine, shopped, ate, and had a lovely time.

PALS Bingo

Last night was PALS Bingo.. the theme was Pajamas. But since I dont do Pajamas I just wore whatever. LOL! This was clearly not my night. I guess I just wasn't feelin' lucky. Although both Maryanna and Analia won $100 dollars each! Way to go girls.. Seriously I'm really glad ya'll won. Really glad. No but seriously I'm happy for you. Seriously. LOL!
