"If you do what you've always done, You'll get what you've always gotten." -unknownThis week I had a major break down. After almost 3 years of kickboxing, I hung up my gloves, and quit my gym. It was just too expensive and I wasn't enjoying it anymore. But it seriously changed my life in many positive ways, which is probably the main reason it was so difficult for me to give it up. Not only did I lose a lot of weight while at X3 Sports, but I also made a lot of great friends there, one of which became my roommate. So on to other things.
Now that I have all this extra free time I wanted to spend it doing the things I have always wanted to but never had the time or the nerve. So .. here it goes. I signed up for figure skating lessons, I'm about to start Ballroom Dancing and Ive been spending each night practicing my Ukulele. This week I started my figure skating, and I'm really enjoying it. Spending Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the rink. Already my skating is progressing nicely. I'm sure there will be video footage of my skating as soon as I get better. As for the dancing I have a lesson Thursday and I'm stoked.
Here is the dance I'd like to learn.
And perhaps this little routine. ( side note.. when I was little and watching the Olympics my mom made me go to bed before I could see this performance.. thank goodness for youtube)
we will see .. it's never too late to learn a new skill.
